Cat® World’s Greatest Work Trip | 2023/2024

Transport to a world of vacation classics and nostalgia with this blast-from-the-past look featuring all your gift shop favs. Retro postcards and travel posters take you back to the time of elbowing your siblings in the backseat as your parents threaten to “turn this car around.” It’s all worth it though as you tear up the cheesy gift shop post-vacation, exhausted and sunburnt.

This campaign skips the bickering and vacation-ending threats and jumps right to the good. With red Clayton dirt, North Carolina details and Cat-oriented tourist trinkets, this vacation gets good, right from the start.

Situation Analysis

The original 2022 World’s Greatest Work Trip campaign was successful in generating goodwill and excitement among customers.  This year, the client has a desire to build upon that success by incorporating a strong lead generation component alongside creating more content to be leveraged on social media throughout 2023 and 2024.  This sweepstakes – and the winners – will provide a vehicle to accomplish this.

Objective

Caterpillar not only offers quality equipment but also provides the relationships, knowledge, and resources to help grow their business.

Extend customer retention and loyalty by offering valuable training and an opportunity to win a machine that can expand/ extend their business.

The Problem

Last year’s campaign acknowledged the skilled labor shortage in construction industries. Touching on how many construction workers are over the age of 55 with fewer younger workers joining and staying to meet the demand. This message is still relevant.
